Ruth DeBerry Parker of Roanoke Rapids passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Dancy and Alma Lee Mangum DeBerry. Ruth was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Thomas Parker and her sister, Autrey DeBerry Van Note.

The joy of her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her dog Max. Ruth was an avid UNC Tar Heel fan.

Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Terri Parker Carroll and her husband Rick of Durham, NC, Robin Mincher and her husband Steve of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her five grandchildren, Jessica Ashley Carroll Whitted and her husband William, Timothy Richard Carroll, Adam Parker Mincher and his wife Kathryn, Steven Nicholas Mincher, and Jessica Lynn Mincher; her six great-grandchildren, Andre’, Sean, Devin, Skylar Whitted, Meredith and Madisyn Mincher. Ruth also leaves behind her very special furry friend, her dog Max.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at New Testament Christian Church with Rev. Daniel West and Rev. Dale Morris officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon, NC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until Service Time at the Church or other times at 101 Steeplechase Run, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
